Mary K. Barrett, Founder and Managing Partner

Mary Barrett has 35 years experience as an investment analyst and portfolio manager. In 1984, Mary founded Barrett & Company, a technology research boutique that served major investment advisors and pension plans. From 1993 to 2001, Mary managed individual and institutional portfolios with combined assets of up to $600 million for major trust companies and asset managers in the New York area.

In 2001, Mary founded Edgewood Partners with the intention of developing a reduced-risk, performance-oriented investment strategy for socially-conscious investors. Under Mary’s leadership, Edgewood Partners has evolved to a full-service wealth management firm focused on creating and maintaining financial security and stewardship for a broad client base, including families, businesses and institutions. Mary holds a B.A. in Economics from Dominican University.

Fern B. Jones, CFA, FRM, Portfolio Analyst and Risk Manager

Fern Jones is a portfolio strategist and risk manager dedicated to sustainable investment practice. Her career spans 25 years and has been divided between trading, analytical and R&D roles at major institutions including JP Morgan, General Motors Asset Management, and MetLife Investments.

Early in her career, Fern worked as a proprietary trader, risk manager and securities analyst. In the 90’s, she worked primarily as an investment analyst with a specialty in international bonds, derivatives overlay, as well as hedged and structured portfolios. More recently, Fern has formed strategic alliances with investment advisors to support portfolio strategy and risk management. Fern holds degrees from Yale and MIT, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation.
